“A good laugh heals a lot of hurts.”
— Madeleine L’Engle
Better together.
You did it. You reached out for help.
You’ve found a healthy, healing pathway for you, and you’re beginning to make real progress.
It’s not easy. Sometimes, even with the guidance and support of a therapist you trust, the road to your dreams can be lonely and difficult.
You don’t have to travel alone.
Why Group?
Strength in numbers. Working with a group of people sorting through the same issues has a nurturing and healing aspect that can bring greater individual progress.
Multiple perspectives. Building rapport in group sessions reminds you that you’re not alone. You have a chance to share ideas and observations, and it’s refreshing to have a collective laugh or sigh of relief.
Accountability. Your group members become more than just fellow travelers. They become accountability partners. Together, you’ll help each other stay on track.
Energized. Supported. Uplifted. That’s how you feel coming out of group each week.
How do groups work?
Groups meet once a week for 90 minutes.
Ongoing groups cost $65 per session, due at registration, and require a three-month commitment.
After the initial three months, recommitment occurs on a month-to-month basis.
Groups take place in person and by video conference. Groups established as an “in-person” forum will always be in person; the “video” forum will always be video. The two modalities do not combine.
What types of groups can I join?
You can experience all these benefits in groups tailored to the following issues: addiction, mindfulness and spirituality, goal setting, and stress management.
Addiction
The natural tendency of people to gather makes group sessions a powerful tool for treating substance abuse. Groups can be as helpful as individual sessions, and some people find the support of the group makes their recovery more successful. This is not your typical support group.
Mindfulness & Spirituality
Dynamic Life Perspectives is dedicated to helping people help themselves. Many people benefit from the power of group energy to elevate their healing of mind, body, and spirit. The connection and healing that are experienced are life-changing.
Stress Management
Stress can be defined as the brain’s response to any demand. An event that is exciting and pleasurable to one person may be painfully stressful to another. Changing your mindset can help in addressing stress before it affects you. Working with a group is beneficial because you will laugh with the group and at yourself, find commonalities, share wins, setbacks, and together stop stress at the door.
